Functional Flow Pilates - Founder and Trainer - Christa Ordonez.png

I help people recover from pain, optimize movement, and live their strongest life.

I received a Master's and Doctoral Degree In Physical Therapy. Then became a comprehensively trained Pilates Instructor and Functional Range Conditioning Movement Specialist.

I have spent the last several years being a Doctor of Physical Therapy one day, and a Pilates Instructor the next. I have realized that the smartest thing was to blend all my backgrounds and expertise together and work with people that want more than just ‘rehab’ or just a ‘workout’. I take pride in educating people about their own body, so they can learn how to be their strongest and most mobile self, without risking injury! Most of my clients have complicated histories with their body, and I become their next step after failed/successful attempts of standard rehabilitation and surgeries. When people are ready to move on past their diagnosis, they work with me.

My goal is to prevent your previous injuries from controlling you. Having dealt with Low Back Pain issues in my family- I understand how life changing any injury can be for you and your loved ones.

Testimonies

  • Desiree A.

I am so glad I made the leap of faith in working with Christa. I was due to have a revision on my hip, a labral repair, and was told that I may need continued revisional surgery until a hip replacement.

I was scared, and desperate for change. A year ago I couldn't walk up/down bleachers for football games and NASCAR races.

Today, I feel freaking invincible, strong and I love getting all the compliments with how well I am looking and moving. I didn't think it was possible.

I have done years and years of Physical therapy with good results. But somehow Christa found the missing link in restoring my body.

  • Kim W.

When I first came to see Christa, I had just finished seven months of rehab for lower back herniations.

I honestly didn’t have much hope for myself to be able to feel normal again let alone function in my daily life like I would want.

After working with Christa for a few months I can honestly say that I feel better and stronger than I ever have, even before injuring myself. Her work is incredible and she is so very kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable.

    Forever grateful!

  • Marlene I.

I came to Christa while I was finishing up my physical therapy for a spinal fusion. I was recovering well but not as well as I knew I could or that my body could.

I am beyond grateful to have found Christa who has given me my quality of life back. I am now able to sit on the floor again and play with my daughter, do a deep squat and ride 10 miles a day!

I really encourage you to give Christa a try if you are dealing with pain and looking for some relief or if you would like to just try Pilates!

    She is truly amazing!

FAQs

  • With a longer history as a Physical Therapist, I get asked why I chose Pilates as a second career. Well, it may not be common knowledge, but Pilates was created as a rehabilitative method during WWI. Yup, World War 1. It pairs well with my passion for recovery and mobility, especially with the spine. I can also use Pilates for EVERY patient/client I meet, regardless of their history of pains and injuries. It is a great method to create strength, safely.
